History. Farm. Events.

Our History

Antrim Spring Farm’s story begins long before the Revolutionary War. On June 3, 1735, Robert and Thomas Penn, relatives of William Penn, sold 140 acres to Andrew and Rebeka Miller, who built a humble log cabin on the land where our stone house stands today.

In 1774, the property was purchased by William Berryhill, a soldier who served under General George Washington. Berryhill built his “Plantation Mansion” on land he named “Rich Bottom and Good Fruit.” Using the original cabin’s foundation and logs, he created the enduring stone home that still welcomes guests today.

The barn was added in 1801, and over the years, the farm became a gathering point for American soldiers during the Revolutionary War. It also holds Civil War history, as the site where a Confederate soldier was killed while surrendering his sword to a Union officer at the war’s end.

Every building, beam, and stone holds a piece of the

past—preserved, honored, and shared with every guest
who steps onto the grounds.
